o.k. so i have 2 options right now that i am gonna run with my pacesetter header either i am going to go w/ a megan cat back exhaust w/ a hi flow cat (has resonator already in it) or i am going to go with the pacesetter exhaust... my question is how are the pacesetter's are they loud and annoying or are they pretty mellow just want to know some opinions be for i go ahead and order this ...thanks
I just bought a pacesetter catback from an ebay company, it was like $220 shipped; I ordered on a thursday and got it that saturday so shipping was super fast.
Im gona put it on in a little bit, but eventually Im prolly gonna get a dynomax superturbo for it

I didnt have it on before when I posted, just got it on a litttle while ago.
IMO, if you like loud raspy exhuasts then the pacesetter is for you. If not either a resonator or different muffler will help. I plan to get a dynomax superturbo soon though.
Yea I like it, but I think the sound would bother me after a while cause Im realy anal about louder exhuasts, specially on 4cyl's. I mainly just wanted it for the piping until I get the dynomax muffler.
Its not too bad though, just a little too loud for my liking.
I have a pacesetter header with a 2.4L Sunfire GT, and it is pretty loud. It has a sort of fairly loud rumble to it at idle but screams around the redline.
they sound better with a resonator
ive heard 1 on a 2.4 , with header and high flow cat , and 18" resonator , sounded pretty good
and a friends 2.2 ohv has a resonator also and sounds good
i have the pacesetter header with a 28" glass pack and the dynomax super turbo muffler. before i got the muffler, i had no muffler on at all. it was loud and raspy. that dynomax really quietened it down alot. now it has a much deeper tone.
Pacesetter for me on a 2200 needed a resonator, was too raspy when i got on it. nice low rumble and quiet at ldle
Yea I def want to get a superturbo for my pacesetter catback, but broke right now
Its realy gonna be loud when I get my pacesetter ceramic header and magnaflow cat on in a few days haha
