I am looking to get a lil more performance out of my car and I was wondering how much of a difference an Apexi SAFC-2 would make for it. I have a WAI, header and full 2.5" exhaust

no but i can't really think of any other ways to make much more power short of tearing down the motor or boosting thought maybe messing with the fuel would maybe do something been thinkin about cams too

look up "shifted" on here, he can tune your VCM with hp tuners and unlock far more potential computing wise than that apexi unit.
you could still a few things without having to tear the engine down.
engine mounts
aluminum pulleys
if you do decide to go with the SAFC 2 i have one for sale with custom aluminum mounting bracket. but HPT will get you alot further than anything else at this point
also replace all your mounts with poly ones
many changes in the making
my favorite part about doing bodywork,.......... bondo bugers
SAFC (whatevers) do not work on the majority of 3rd Gen J's.

It worked wonders on my Turbo 2200 but I have the AFC NEO. Before my car was tuned with NEO i made 186 WHP & 225 WTQ at 5.5 PSI. After tuning it with the NEO I now make 206 WHP & 257 WTQ at 5.5 PSI.
I am installing new poly motor mounts and I ain't to good with computeres so I'm afraid to go with HPT

SAFCs control fuel by altering the MAP/MAF signal to the PCM.
When you tell it to reduce fuel any amount it shift the MAP/MAF signal lower to make the PCM think the airflow is lower.
But only 1995 2.2s and manual trans 2.3s based their fuel control on MAP vs. RPM
1995 auto 2.3s and all 96-up J's control fuel based on TPS vs. RPM. ALTERING THE MAP SIGNAL DOES NOT AFFECT FUEL ON THESE CARS.
It will however alter timing.
An SAFC does not work on 99% of J's

contact Ron Beyer aka 'Shifted' on here.... $170 plus shipping both ways and he will tune your VCM for you. mine works awesomly, havnt had a chance to drive the car as of yet, plus i added quite a few other mods to go with the new tune, BUT... i know for a fact that the rev limiter was raised and the EGayR is now gone
he does a really good job, you really should check into having him tune for you... theres not too many HPT N/A cars on here. i cant wait to see what my car has in it
