Got a used OBX 4-2-1 header and have some questions as I am new to all this. Would appreciate any help.

1) I am going to do my entire exhaust sometime this summer and as part of it upgrade to 2.25" mandrel bent tubing ... but, I just measured the header outlet and it's only 2". Would this negate the entire point of getting 2.25" tubing?



2) Was for a 2.2L older sunfire, would it still fit on the 2200? I hear the only difference in the header between the two is that the sensor is in a different place but should not be a problem.

3) Looks like something happened here (the ash on the second hole of the header/gasket) ... I figure I could just clean this out but was curious

I would still run with 2.5 exhaust pipe with that header. And as far as the ash on the gasket -> just looks like they had an exhaust leak. And as far as an earlier 2.2 fitting a 2200, I used the same one without a problem.
