Just wondering what people notice there fuel pressure does once they key off there ignition. I recently installed a full fuel system and until now didn't have a mechanical gauge on the rail which I do have now and I notice the pressure drops reasonably quick from 40 to 20 or so and then drops very slowly from there. I still have a leaky injector o-ring which will get changed which contributes to the quick loss of pressure from 40-20 but I was wondering what other people show on there pressures just to know if my system is working correctly/not leaking somewhere(besides the obvious injector o-ring)
My pressure drops about 2psi over night.
Yeah, mine bottoms out after about 5 mins....so the injector o-ring must be replaced. It leaks so bad it wets the side of the block so I'm sure thats where ALL of the pressure is lost. I ask since I went all the way back to the hard bent line running down the length of the car and flared the line there and went to SS lines all the way up and back. I'm wondering if that circular thing in the fuel line is a check valve which prevents the fuel from leaking back through the fuel pump.(which I'm wondering if that could also be happening) - but I wont really know unitl I fix the known leak.....injector o-ring.
