Which is more wise?
I'll be Eco and boosted in about 1 1/2 years from now, however, I currently have the 2.2 OHV. I'm planning for a new custom MAGNAFLOW cat-back to be installed in 2 weeks from now, but I want to do it right the first time, if I can.
I understand 2.25" would suit my purpose now, but if I got 2.5" instead, for the boost later, would it sound wierd? I'm thinking it would sound "tin can like", or "hollow" more than the smaller diameter pipe. I just don't want an annoying, funny sounding exhaust forever while N/A.
Just like Dave Dunsmoor,
The components for 2.25" are:
MAGNAFLOW Muffler # 11255
MAGNAFLOW Resonator # 10435
MAGNAFLOW Tip # 35136
Please help me.
Thank you in advance.
a 2.5" exhaust would probably sound deeper than 2.25, on account of it having more volume. More volume = deeper tone. A good resonator (straight through, perforated core glasspack essentially) helps alot in the mellowness department too.
A 2.5" exhaust will definitely give you more power, but you probably will loose some torque. IMO sound depends a lot on the muffler. Get a cheap ebay fart can, and your car will sound like it has a cheap ebay fart can
do u know anything on the rksports singal catback exhaust? i was j/w cus im curouse about getting it.
