ok, i took the AC off and all that stuff out but then my water pump was slipping. It was also getting hot out .. anyway, i put it all back in after 3 months but now the car is just 'eating' serpantine belts. Any suggestions?? The AC compressor is fixed in properly, doesnt shake while the motor is on, It seems the belt wants to be half off the Idler pulley, but never has a problem with any other pulleys. The belt is wearing around the edges...cords start showing and then it starts squeking then squells later on.

any suggestions??

Replace the idler pully or shim it so the belt rides in the middle, I guess. There's a podssability that last time you moved the idler pully to install the belt, that something inside could have broke. If all the other pullys are good, that's the only thing I can think of.
