Well, just pulled out another engine and getting ready to put it in my 1994 z24, just a little question for ya. Is it worth installing an after market cam? I want to maintian good idle stability, no intention on racing, just interested in a lil extra power, arent we all. Do not want to have to do any mods with pcm or otherwise. If yes, what kinda lift and duration would anyone recomend? Whos runnig with what? Thanx for any info in advance.

Well to update a little
Im eying a comp cam with .425/.425 lift
206 duration at 050 lift
800-4800 rpm normal operating range. Has anyone tried this cam set - complete with gears chain, springs and locks.
Im just a little curious about output expectations......The bottom end has some miles on it should i be worried about that....she runs good no problems when i pulled it.
