No fabrication needed, if you have the stock Cat. If you have a high flow Cat, you'll have to cut the flange that hooks-up to the cat off.

I recommend the ceramic coated header, but you can use the painted header. The paint used is only for protecting the metal till the consumer buys it. Strip the paint (I used a chemical stripper), wash the header thoroughly, wipe it down with Prep-Sol, paint it with VHT's Flame-Proof Coating and cure it in an oven according to the directions. Don't use Dupli-Color High Heat paint, it flaked off the first time I started the motor. Two and a half years and the VHT is still holding up.

Well depends how you take the word "FAB"

On all pacesetter systems you need to cut the stock downpipe and slip over the header downpipe, so there is a little cutting.

not on the 95-97 2.2 ohvs , they actually use a bolt in cat

ive heard of some early 98's being the same way

you can see there is a 3 bolt flange on the pipe on the right that goes to the cat

Nice, yes i forgot about the early 3rd gen cavaliers being able to do that.
