Hello,
Just getting ready to place an order for a Ferrea valve train. I searched but came up with nothing.
Im going to buy valves and valve springs ..... but what else will I need?
Can I use the stock locks etc? Or what?
What did you guys use when you installed these valves? What stock components did you keep?
Thanks.

We sell many many of these sets.
The Valves work on the stock springs/retainers.
However, if you get the valve springs, you MUST get the Ferrea titanum retainers. The only other option, or upgrade, is to get "seat locators by Ferrea" which will increase the valve spring pressure, for high lift cams.
You will use the OEM keepers on any configeration.
We sell them at www.TurboTechRacing.com let us know we should have the lowest prices on them.

I am going to be running the comp stage 3 NA grind on my car.... im also shooting to turn between 8500-9000 rpms.
At what point would I need the "seat locators" do you recommend them for the above set up?

If you run the stage 2 comp cams we "reccommend" the upgraded spring/retainers/seat locators
If you run the stage 3 comp cams you MUST use the Ferrea dual spings/retainers/seat locators
Comp cams stage 1 works fine with the stock valve train.

I don't see any Ferrea sets at Turbo Tech Racing.
I don't see comp cams for the LD9 either
How can you turn off the rev-limiter ont he LD9, mines cuts the revs out at like maybe 6500 somewhere around there. Might wanna put a oil cooler on if your gonna run that high of RPMS 8500- 9000 thats crazy. I wonder if a guy could chrome the internals for better performance?

Thanks thats good advice, I'd probably get valve float otherwise.
When I add everything up it looks like around 1100 for this valve train right? Is there any discount code for that?

We're talking about an ecotec here, Im using a stand alone Tec3r so I can choose my rev limit.
