FPR/Intake Question
Thursday, August 30, 2007 11:43 AM
I've got myself a fancy shmancy RK Sport Intake, and I haven't got a place to attach the FPR to. I've had it unplugged for a little while, but wasn't comfortable with it, so after a little searching, I've attached it to the nub on the throttle, which is what people have said to do. My camera is dead (not out of batteries, dead), and I was wondering if anybody had any shots of this nub so I could make sure it's on the right spot. Thanks.

What???/??

Are you really talking about the Fuel Pressure Regulator? . what does that have to do with the intake? It doesnt really unplug either.

Alright, so here's the deal.

I got my intake, and there's a spot for the sensor, and it's fitting in there nice and snugly. There's a spot for the throttle bypass tube (no idea what it's really called, cut me some slack), and no spot for the small line that I can only assume is a vacuum line. I've searched a little bit, and from what I've gathered you can plug it into a nub below the throttle cables, which is what I've done.

I borrowed my girlfriends camera and took these shots, what you're looking at is that small vacuum (?) line plugged into the nub below the throttle cables, let me know if this looks ridiculously wrong, or if I've actually done something right for once, thanks.

You are ok with doing that...It is just looking for vacuum you should be fine..

I would not worry about that vaccum line, The way you have it now is the way to do if you want it pluged. I have mine unplug and the only thing it does is bring up about 4 psi the fuel pressure.

Alright, thanks guys. I wasn't sure if it was better to have it attached to something or not, but I feel better with it not flopping around the engine bay. Thanks again.

when you posted...it sounded like you were moving the FPR...not the vacuum on the FPR. I have a 2.4 anyways so mine goes from the FPR to the TB.

Yeah, I realize I phrased it poorly, it was hard for me to explain exactly what I meant since I have very limited car knowledge. It's all fixed now though, and thanks for your help.
