i have the wiseco piston and i want to know how the rings go. i have a wavy one that i know goes on the bottom, then i have a thick black one, a copper looking one, and 2 thin ones. but in only has slots for 3 rings including the wavy one. how do these go? do all 5 rings go on and if so what goes where?

There is more to installing rings than just putting them in there where they fit. The gaps in the rings have to be alligned properly on the piston. I hope you know that.

Nope

Gap locations begin to move the second the engine is started.
It really doesn't make a difference where you align the gaps.

But, what the gap measures is really important.

also and more important:
The wavy one and the 2 thins are a set. The wavy goes in then the 2 thin go over it on the top and bottom edge.
DO NOT CUT THE WAVY RING NO MATTER HOW HUGE IT SEEMS.

The next two should be identified by paperwork with the pistons and rings. Not only is it important to get each into its correct slot (1st or 2nd ring). But its also important in many cases to make sure that you identify the top and bottom side of the ring and install it accordingly. Most rings have a top and bottom side.
