Question about injector interchangability
Sunday, December 16, 2007 7:29 PM
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could put 02 grand am eco injectors in my other 04 eco motor I have in my 96, they look a little bigger then the cavy ones but is that all thats different? Can I run them without having any issues?

i would think the fuel rails are different. my 02 eco cavy has shorter (i think) injectors and cannot use them in 03+ eco's.

i think you can, you just have to remove the grey plastic spacers that sit in the head.. just pull em out (don't lose them tho)

yea like pj said just remove the grey spacers from the motor and the 02 injectors will fit right in. I did a motor swap using an 04 from my 02 motor and it's fine.

ok well i tried it today and the injectors were to short, they didnt even go in the head and with the gray inserts in they went in a little, the car would not start with them, so i guess i have to find a set of stock 03+ injectors.
