Intake Hookup Question

On the intake tube, there are two connections. One plugs in and the other is like a vacuum line. The vacuum line, how far into the intake tube does it need to be inserted?

It shouldn't matter how far into the tube it is as long as it's not pinched, leaking, or restricted in any way.

You could even just put a breather on it if you are having problems.

... cant be sure without seeing your intake... the vacum line needs to be a secure connection...thats why most aftermarket intakes will have a "nipple" that you clamp the line onto. if you're just putting the line in a hole that you made in the intake... then no.

get pics up, we can help you better if we can see exactly what youre working with

Are you referring to an actual vacuum line or the larger hose for the PCV system that goes from the plastic intake tube ahead of the TB to the valve cover? If it's the PCV one, I would make sure that is secure, you don't want debris in your oil, but it won't help you with a vacuum problem, and a vacuum leak can also cause a misfire
