This isn't really maintenance so I figured this would be the best area for this. Has anybody here ever heard of or done anything with adding
a hydrogen tank on their car. I hear it is fairly simple and will increase the gas mileage a huge amount. I was just interested in the pros and cons.
Sure, just strap a tank in the trunk and run a line to your throttle body...everyone's doing it
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
I wish it was as easy as adding a tank but, unfortunately not. You'll need to convert the whole fuel delivery system over to meet the requirements of the hydrogen. At this point I am not sure of an exact gas mileage increase, but I can tell you that it is 3 times more combustible than gasoline.

LOL this is where it gets good. Too much to type and this is what is being argued right now the "Pro's and Con's".
my wuestion is what is that extra water going to do to your exhaust it's going to collect in the cat and cause a rust problem right
driving fast never killed anyone it was the sudden stop
Geez. This just reminds me of that on-board hydrogen generator lead I started a while back... that eventually got shot-down. Do a search on it and find out!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
the cheapest thing i have run in my car is liquid natural gas it's about 11 cents a gallon and you have to buy it by the truck load
i get it from my uncle (he owns several oil filds) when i go see him it's about 110 octane it's kinda like avgas
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_natural_gas
it's alot cheaper than allturnatives but requires you to change the fuel filter more often due to the sediment acculimation
it also requires a top end lubricant to be added as well such as marvle magic mystrie oil due to it tends to dry out the topend

He means burning the hydro, won't work without serious modification and boost. If you have the money to do it, do it! And if you were thinking about mixing gasoline and hydrogen...bad idea, theres a risk that your exhaust will have more pollutants (H2SO4 anyone?).

sulfiric acid? lol
hydrogen is a joke for the enviroment, untill we make it with solar energy. hydrogen is either made from natural gas (which puts co2 into the air dirrectly) or buy seperating H20, which is done through electrolisis using electricity produced by coal.
same thing with E85.
it takes 1.0 gallons of gasoline to produce 1.3 gallons of ethanol. but gasoline has something around 30% more energy content per volume. you do the math. all your doing is supporting corn farmers, and pesticides, water shortages, etc.

Listen F***ers. FASTERTHANAHONDA is a joke because I WORK FOR HONDA. I'll talk @!#$ about Fords to, that doesn't mean I can beat a 12 second mustang.
Geez, got any nay-sayin' 'bout carbon resequired diesel (Recycled & refined used cooking grease/oil)?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
If you want to install a diesel engine in the car, then no.

And where exactly does the S come from there?
last I checked, you are combining H+HC+N+O+trace elements (not S).
