heres an idea.....since you alredy bought them, why dont you call summit and ask the same question
might as well do a cam swap....if you can find them, and head stubs are NOT your bottom end, but if you already have them you might as well put an aftermarket headgasket (cometic or s.c.e), and the rest all depends on what you plan on doing...even the thickness of your headgasket depends on how much boost you want to run....if any. Do do this properly depending on your overbore (if any), you might want to have things balanced, and if your looking for a little more power, port and polish your head since your doing head studs and do a valve job.....it's all time and money, my build started like you and has since cost me more then 3 times what i origanally planned. Use the search button and you'll find out more of what you want to know....ALWAYS SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST!

studs...not stubs...

ok i knew head studs werent apart of the bottom end . but i already have a cometic head gasket secret cams , a whole head package with port and polish , 3 angle valve job, 1mm oversized valves. 2.3 springs and retainers, i sell these head kits,i do all the head work at my house on our flowbench,i didnt ask anything about the head or cams i asked if you guys had any useful info on actually working on the bottom end. or any kind of things i should buy like a oil pump while i am down there. and i know what the search button is but the only question i had was just for any useful things that people found out while doing their bottom end so i dont hit a brick wall and need to wait on something.

Unless you wanted to go crazy with the bottom end (i.e. oil squirters, billit 4-bolt mains, etc); rod and main bearings, rods and pistons & rings are all you would need. The only other thing you might consider is ARP main studs... and if you are already going through all of this work, you might as well modify the block and oil pan to use the 2.3L oil pump.
If you are rebuilding just to strengthen the bottom end, then you should be fine. If you are rebuilding the bottom end because you spun a rod bearing or whatnot, you need the crank turned as well (which means you will need new oversized rod bearings). Also, make sure to get the assembly balanced before installing.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
you listed it...so i wasn't sure, and if you don't want to go through all the work to do the 2.3 oil pump conversion you could just modify your current oil pump so it has a higher flow rate, the machine shop i go to did that so we didn't have to do the oil pan and everything else.....and i was only saying to use the search button because there is alot of info on here about this 100x over. I would also do your water pump depending on how many kilometers/miles you have on the car...since your already there. Were in the same position doing the same things no hard feelings.....I'm just having a @!#$ty day...if i knew you did the head i would have went through you and saved me a bunch of crap....

hey i am not trying to be an @$$ but in my post i wrote main studs not head studs .. so just like a serch button read before you post... just saying take own advice.

Do you have a boring deck plate? I heard there is one that gets passed around JBO but currently do not know who has one.
I am currently doing the same rebuild, based on my searching I plan on water pump, oil pump, and crank. For oil pump, spyhunterZ used a clevite 2.4 oil pump but alot of others recommend the 2.3 oil pump mod. The machine shop doing my block is currently reading up on the 2.3 mod, I just worry about a mistake.
Look into the 2.3 oil pump swap. Search 2.3 oil pump sticky
