thicker one will lower compression the thinner one will raise compression... you make that choice.

-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party

A thinner gasket is technically better...but with the charger, it really doesn't matter. So, like spy said

.074 = slightly lower compression
.030 = slightly higher compression

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

Apparently you have to have your block and head machined first to run these?

Surface prep is very important with the use of a Cometic head gasket. Certainly not as finicky as a copper unit but you can't just throw it on. I believe cometic calls for a certain grit to the head and block.

Thickness choice depends on what you're doing... are you just tossing on a brand new H.O head? is it being decked at all? I'll assume the block isn't since you're not going to take it out... if not, then the thicker gasket will just raise the head up a bit and lower compression...

The choice is up to you, really.
