I just put a new engine in my 96 Z 5spd and when I put the battery in it I do not get any power anywhere. I checked the battery and it has power so why would I not even get power to the radio or lights or anything like that? Need help guys thanks

This is the first time I have ever dropped in a motor so help me out on the ground. I ground the lead of the negative battery cable to the stop on the side of the bell housing correct?

make sure you have your battery powering the fuse box under your hood.

trace the power starting at the batt, through the electrical system. check your main fuses. see how far you have power, and where the power is no longer there. thats in the area where your problem is.

Very weird stuff going on. One minute the power will come on, then the next it will go out. Was not not touching anything at all. Was standing over at my tool chest and the door chime came on.

Check the ground wire make sure its not touching anything with paint on it and make sure it on tight, and as stated above check your fuses.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

might want to check the positive wire on the starter make sure it aint touch the block. if it is or did might of drained or fried your battery had it happen
