Ok, i have a 96 2.2l sunfire. When i hit the throttle say 20% the car barely moves foward, I have to push it to about 40-50% throttle to pick up. Its really bad. My bros 98 1.8 sentra just needs a tap on the throttle to pick up. Can it be the throttle cable?
Time to get out the Scantron!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
Sounds like your getting a dead spot in the throttle. Could be about 100 things to be honest. Check your sensors, get a scanning device to see if its throwing any codes. Trying revving the car from the throttle body to see if that changes anything. The 2.2 isnt the most powerful engine in the world, but it should be much better then that!
