honestly how much extra power will i make with a cam regrind is it really worth it? i really dotn want 2 go through the hastle of sending it in and everyting any opinions on this?
without turbocharging or some other form of forced induction, i don't think you'll ever see over 130 whp without a cam. The cam is the gatekeeper to the combustion chamber, and on the 2200, it may as well be a chastity belt with the keyhole welded shut. Answer your question?

i mean that i am doing a build for boost how much of a difference would a cam make?
How much do you want to spend? If your not rebuilding the engine with expensive sturdy parts, then just put a turbo on with 7 psi or so and im sure you will be pretty happy. If you are rebuilding the bottom end of the engine to run higher boost, might as well replace the cam while its all apart.

I don't think I could agree more.
