Over-bore question

i have to do a rebuild soon and i was wondering what i should need if do an overbore
just new oversized pistons and rings right?

also what is a resonable price to have this done?
a reasonable overbore amount?

I had my Pontiac 400 bored .030 over.

I can get the price when i get home tonight.

I would go with a small overbore just remove the imperfections in the cylinder walls. That way if the engine fails and the block isnt broke just beat up, you could get it bored again. Depending on how much cylinder wall is left.

Like i said before i had a 400ci engine bored .030 and that only increased my displacement by 6ci total. I really doubt you'll notice a gain off boring a 4 cylinder.
