Dynomax Thrush Turbo Muffler. Its pretty quiet, but then growls when you want it to. Its what ive got on my car. I like it a lott.

what motor? if its the 2.4... the best sounding exhaust for that car in my opinion is the vibrant for sure.

Insted of spending a few hundred on a new exhaust, put a resonator on it. That should give it a much better sound.

well should i go header resonator then stock exhuast?
i think i am still going to go with a muffler to give it some tone.
but a fairly non exspensive one.

stock ftl.
stock piping is only 1 7/8, whereas most header companies make headers for our cars with a 2.25 collector. keep it the same size for the best results. i as for the thrush turbo, i've noticed waaaaaay too much interior resonance for my liking at cruising speed. the dynomax superturbo however, is very nice. the important thing is, find out what sounds good to you. it may take a couple tries, but you'll get it.

resonators are the key to making your system sound the way you want it to....so yes, get a resonator

When you say Vibrant Exhaust what are you referring to?

What do you have installed?

Lots of people refer to Exhaust as just a muffler

Dave, maybe instead of just buying a new cat back, just put in a bigger resonator just after your cat....it will save you some money atleast

dont buy a whole new exhaust, just buy a resonator or two and put em in. should reduce exhaust noice alot.

Since I recently got my tax return and my $20 cherry bomb was rotting off anyway, I splurged on the Magnaflow dual outlet cat back from RK Sport. Very nice deep sound at idle, not ricey. Cruise is quiet but audible, no vibration in the car and no headaches. Wide open throttle gives a dull roar. Again, not the least bit ricey. Biggest problem with installation was getting the right side outlet cut out of my LS Sport bumper in the same shape as the stock left side. I don't know if this will be an issue with the standard bumpers.
