I bought a RSM intake about 5 years ago. Is RSM a done deal now? I can't find thier web site to save my life!
RSM / Z-Spec is evil and the devil.
I wish them upon no one.
Also I believe they fell of the face of the earth. A few years back all the inventory was on ebay up in Canada.

RSM/Z-Spec has a bad rep on here

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
They are still in business under the name Z-Spec. I just ordered a part from them last month and had zero problems with them at all, well besides their @!#$ty ordering system.

Maybe they have gotten better than they use to be.

Yeah maybe, I know of two other people in JBOK that ordered from them with no problems at all. I know I wouldn't send them a lot of money, that's for sure.

my friend just order a lower engine mount and i think a VB and they came in a week with no problems..
Once people started finding out that their 62mm throttlebodies WEREN'T, and that their "PCM Tuning", WASN'T, they really started to disappear. I don't care how much better they get, once a fraud, always a fraud. Its one thing to have product defects but these guys outright defrauded people out of money.

I wouldn't worry about little parts here and there but STAY AWAY from their supercharge kit, its bad mojo.

THEY BLOW DONKY DO DO
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE, i have already died once and im still here so lets just leave it on the track
other than the outright lies and outrageous pricing they are fine

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
I bought stuff from them no problem...though it was at one of their booths at the bash so i didnt have to worry about anything.
Other than that, I would stay away, i dont think they have anything you can't get from another more reputable dealer anyway.

I didn't think too many people even had bought their supercharger kit. What was really so bad about it - other than the fact that it had their "ECU tuning" which didn't do anything? I've stayed kinda curious about it ever since I first read about it, after all the supercharger itself is made by Vortec...the pictures of the brackets and machine work that they do look fine. And you could swap pullies and substantially up the boost on a Vortec supercharger unlike with the GM supercharger (at least on the 2.4). Always sounded to me that overpricing and shady business practices were the biggest things to watch out for...
And no, I don't work for them and have never bought from them...

The charger they use isn't the problem. If they would have made a bracket to run it off the serpentine belt or even provided a custom crank pulley to run an extra slotted belt, then there would have physically been no problem with the kit. The problem was that they choses to run these off of the end of the intake cam which caused oil leaks. I also personally wouldn't want to put the stress of both a power steering pump and charger on a press fit hex in the end of the cam.
What really wasn't brought up much (if at all) about the kit, though, was that a camshaft spins at half the speed of a crankshaft, so you have to either run a twice as large camshaft pulley than crankshaft pulley or half as small charger pulley to obtain the same output of the charger compared to if it were driven by the crankshaft.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
but we all know the RSM supercharger kit is the kit to end all supercharger kits

Yeah I do, that's the part I ordered a few weeks ago. From when I completed the order it was mailed that same day and at my door in about a week. My total was 64 shipped. I was very happy with the quality.

From what i've seen of their s/c kit the only real good part of the whole thing is the Vortech. The bracketry and other 'house parts' seem poorly desiged to me. I got my hands on a used kit of theirs and plan on modifying it to run off the serpertine belt.
The vortec unit ? A GOOD thing..... No offense.. but the charger was a piece.

-MD- LD9: is getting his prototypes tested soon if I do recall, so if you can wait a little longer he'll have his ready.

-Chris
I would imagine he will have the crank pullys ready for the ecotec this summer. It takes a while to get all the R&D done, then getting people to do everything both cheaply, AND quickly im sure is a very hard thing to do.
so they DO still exist...?
wow!
i still have my crank pulley stock size from like 5 years ago on the car! miss the old days
