Ok, got my overheating problem corrected by the suggestion of other members. Gutted out the stock 2.4L t-stat and added the 2.3L t-stat in the side of the head. works great. On to the latest and greatest issue. Is there an easy way to correct the lack of a proper spot for the egr valve? I've seen some older manifolds have some mods done to them to fit the egr but can't find any. I've also heard of the egr delete through programming. Reason I'm asking is because the MIL keeps coming on with insufficient EGR flow and i need it off with all the other monitors set in order for the car to pass Pennsylvania emissons. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Quad4 heads dont have an EGR, so I think the only way you are going to get rid of that pesky light is through HPTuners. Otherwise, you might be able to build some kind of bypass for the EGR, but I can't help you there.
All right, thanks again Whalesac. I was really hoping i could find that intake manifold again that had a spot for it. I'm not crazy. honest. i've seen it somewhere. maybe someone on my regional forum can get it done. I just didn't want to have to tune twice since i don't have everything done that i wanted before a full on tune. But we'll see...
