question about ecotec heads

so i got a quick question, i havent seen it posted anywhere else but will any ecotec head fit on the L61 block? if so what would work best for flow and power?

No. Only the L61 and LSJ heads fit the L61 block.

no OEM head has any flow advantages over the other



there's small differences but a bolt on gain is not to be had from the L61 head to the LSJ.

the valves are a bit better, and other structural differences but again, not worth the effort without further work.. and a ported/ modified L61 head is just as good.

combustion chambers are the same cc, ports are relatively the same size... going from a stock L61 head to a stock LSJ head will see no gain

ok so if ya got the supercharger kit on. would it be worth putting the lsj head?

Re read his post....if you are going to put any head on stack up some money and buy a gm race head.
