the idea is sound but unfortunately those tiny things cannot create enough airflow to even top stock breathing.

so no, dont do it. junk.

might work on a 5hp briggs...

everyone laughs so no one explains.....

in order to create BOOST or known as PSI requires a very large amount of power, since super/turbo actaully compress AIR dont just push it in.

as fare as electric superchargers, there is only one i know that works, its not sold to public and considered prototype its run time is for 4mintues and uses 9+ car batterys... hardly useful right now.

Funny... There's a guy here on this forum that was asking the other day about where he could get a 12V-motor to build such a beast. I think some of us who responded here also did so there. In theory it might be possible to build one, but the way I see it like any form of technology that cames along, there is gonna be some part(s) developed elsewhere that will be needed to make the operation of the idea feasible.

Two cases in point: Babbage's "Thinking"-machine & Chrysler's Electro-jection Electronic fuel-injection system that appeared in the late-'50s. Babbage's machine needed electronic switches to make it work, but being that it was designed in the mid-19th century there was none. Then the transistor was developed in the mid-late '40s, which was the part needed, and after that the computer was born. Chrysler was ahaed of the cruve with it's Electro-jection system, but the capacitors used in it (which were all that was to be had at the time) were of the wrapped-foil-&-paper wax-coated kind, which were prone variation of their effect due to moisture & caused the system to not function properly, and resulted in a slew of owner taking cars that were fitted with it back to the dealer to get their cars refitted with dual-quads instead. A few years later, in the early '60s, polystyrene capacitors (A design that actually was water-proof!) were developed, and had those been used instead we would have heard of EFI alot sooner. But like any early attempts of anything, failure of proper operation of the Elelctro-jection system left a bad-taste in the mouths of new-car buyers at the time. Plus designing & producing a injection system was (And still pretty-much is) a time & money consuming process, and nobody (Especially big corporations) seems to be willing to spend anything upon anything that doesn't seem to need to be done (or had) unless it is necessary. Shame...

So, is the electro-motive super-charger possible? In theory, yes! But like everything it will take time & money (Not to mention a serious demand!) of it to be developed to the point where it can be effectively mass-produced & sold. And that's the way it is.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".
