Hey all, this is my first post.
Im gathering some information on using your L61 bottom end, and mating it to my worked over, cammed Lsj head.
So far from what i gathered, i would have to change reluctor rings to work with the lsj computer? Would using another crank be an option. Like using the forged eagle crank, and throwing it in the 2.2?
Also, Is the f35 tranny tranny able to fit on your block? Im aware that your flywheels are 6 bolt as ours are 8 bolt. Im sure you can weld up the holes on our flywheel, and redrill for 6 holes. Is there anything im missing? I would LOVE to do this to my car, more displacement, and alot cheaper to forge your bottom end compared to ours. If theres anything i forgot please chime in, I come from a world of lsjs, and very ignorant to the l61 so any info i can get i would be very grateful.
Heres my car btw....

And no i dont call my car a beast, the girl that made my vid does though, lol.
PJ (DaFlyinSkwirl) Is doing the complete opposite swap into his 00 cav. His thread on his swap can answer a bunch of your questions.
Yes i did see his linkm its been spread thru most of the major ecotec sites i know of.
My concern is, he started life as a 2.2 and went the other way around, im starting as a lsj, and want to put in a l61.
the major problem i see is the reluctor ring issue, and the tranny isue. Im thinking everything else should work just fine.
So anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks again
For the reluctor ring it would depend on how the Ions ECU/ICM is programmed. Our J body ECUs suck major donkey piss and dont like to read anything other then the L61 reluctor ring.
