Turbo for old guy?

I have spent the day looking through various post about adding performance to my car and am probably more confused then when I began...sound about right? I have invested a fair amount into my 2000 Sunfire but have really only added the basic bolt ons for performance (Weapon R intake, OBX 4-1 header, 2.3 TB (56mm), motor mount, 2.25inch exhaust). Yes I have Nitous, but have only used it once (not really a power add for daily use). I am looking to add power for daily use (passing, getting up to speed quicker, etc) I'm not a racer and this is not my daily driver. I am looking to get alittle more bang out of this 2200. Maybe, bringing it up to 150 - 160hp?. From what I can tell adding a Turbo will do that at around 5-7psi and still be safe for my engine (30,000 miles on engine). don't know much about Turbo's...okay I know nothing about turbo's. What is the basic package that I would need to get more power out of my engine. Again nothing fancy just the basics to get the job done. Keep in mind, I like most, do everything to my car myself, not because I can't afford it but because I enjoy it, therfore I am assuming I could do the install myself. Specific advice or directions to other links or topics are appreciated. Thanks.

You might get more response in the "boost" section...............

My opinion on your situation is that if you know nothing about turbos I would go for a kit by a reputable company like Hahn.

Heres a link for you:

Piecing together a kit is more trouble than its worth if your not looking to build an all out race car.

Good Luck

I started like you...

I ended up with a built motor and still shopping for turbo parts... :-)

I'd say go with Hahn, its a great kit even though its not very popular (mainly cause noone puts all that much money into them, and the ones who do are fanatical about it and really are looking for more than a 160hp DD)

Good luck.
