Well i got a egt guage to add to the cluster of guages, going boosted and will use this with my wideband to tune since i have a obd-1 ohv, i have heard many things as to where you should put this probe in the exhaust, these are what i have heard thus far.
1. put it in the # 1 cylinder pipe of the log style turbo mani that i have
2. put it in the #3 cylinder pipe of the log style turbo mani
3. put it within 6 inches of the turbo in the exhaust.
where have you guys sucessfully put these and got good readings?
thanks
jason
Personally I would care more about C.H.T. than E.G.T. Sorry, not spamming you and can't offer more help.

You want to put it where it'll get a reading from every cylinder. Most turbo guys put them after the turbo because that gives a better reading. I have mine in the flange adapter of my manifold and a bung in the exhaust for my second channel.
CHT is important but I'd rather watch my EGTs....easy way to see the AFR conditions if you know what your looking at.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.
