quick question!
Sunday, December 13, 2009 5:15 PM
Hey everyone, i recent purchased a 2.2L cavalier, all stock, and was wondering, would i notice any different if i installed:

Venom Fuel Injectors (supposed 10% fuel delivery increase)
Pacesetter 4-2-1 Header
and a Cold Air Intake?

I dont need it to be a race car, just a little faster than it is.

Thanks for any feedback.

also, would there be a change in mpg?

or would it be more efficient engine thus keeping it about the same?

intakes a good plan, don't just put a header on and leave the rest of the exhaust stock, that's silly.and i don't think the injectors alone are going to do squat for you. i would focus more on upgrading the rest of the exhaust, short throw shifter, and motor/tranny mounts. with those mods you should see a nice difference in the way your car drives.

Intake, header, full exhaust would be nice. A stock 2.2 doesn't need the additional fuel output that the venom injectors would do though. Stick with what bluecavvy said, motor/tranny mount inserts and a short throw shifter would help more. Even some good ignition wires and a lightweight or underdrive crank pulley would help out

Hope is not a plan. Change is not a destination.

Right On! Definately start with intake and exhaust and work into motor and trans mounts. All inexpensive bolt-ons that will make your car much more responsive.

I/H/E would be good. The injectors will probably not do a damn thing for you. Maybe even make the car run worse with less MPG. Unless you get tuned for them, which isn't really necessary with that small amount of mods.

i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
