Eco swap help
Friday, February 05, 2010 11:22 PM
I found a Eco cavi at the local junk yard and guy said 600 and it's mine. The car is not driveable by any stretch of the imagination. Still had good engine. I was wanting to take it as a parts car for an Eco swap. Only problem is mine is a 5 speed and this one is auto. Should I wait to find another 5 speed or buy it and buy a 5 speed from someone off the org, eBay, or where ever? Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance

well its completely up to you, but if it were me i'd wait and try to find a 5speed car, then that way you can start the swap and and have every thing you need

Yes. I'd atleast grab the engine(depending on the mileage on it), that way if you find a 5-speed eco car you dont have to worry if the engine is good too. Then just grad the electrical stuff and tranny from the 5-speed car.
