I am worried if they are going to kick me out if I yank out better than 11.49 in the 1/4, I am sure someone has to know.
I know the rules and I am trying to get the car done and it probably will be done, but they require 6 point cage in NHRA races for a 11.99 and faster and I can run that no problem.
But here is a problem in NIRA which is what they usually classify me in they require a cage at 11.49 and faster and it would suck for me to run like a 11.40 or 11.30 and get kicked out cause there will be NO WAY IN HELL I am gonna have enough time for a 6 point cage in less than 3 weeks.
I do however have a helmet which is a requirement for a 13.99 and faster whichever class you race in.
So does anyone know about this I would deff appreciate and what can we do about it.
I really wanna put up a show for you guys.

Well i called and the lady i talked to was very helpful......she said that anything from a 11.49-11.00 requires a roll bar, not a cage.....anything under 10.99 requires a cage!!! She didnt know if or what was the standard for the cage or how many points it had to be, so she gave me the for the nhra division 2 office and ill call them in just a minute.... just figured id give an update!

Ok just got off the phone with the very cute sounding girl from NHRA and she said basically what the other lady said.....Go under 10.99 and you need a 6 point cage and roll bar....she said there is like three pages of technicals in the roll cage section so i'm gonna go down to the track tomorrow and see if i can swipe a rule book......so just dont go under 11 flat and if you do, dont do it again!!

Well, you guys are doing the 1/4 at OSW right? Well, it's nickname is Orlando Spin World...as in wheelspin. People seem to run just a hair slower in Orlando than they do at any of the better-prepped tracks around Florida. But the track techs there will SOMETIMES just warn you if you run just a small bit faster than NHRA requires. However, lately they seem to have been enforcing it more regularly.
But Eric is correct on the times for cages and roll bars for factory hard-top vehicles.

LOL...drama is a fair part of why i lost interest in the compact car/J scene and dropped out of it. The other is the judging a show solely by the list of mods, not the execution and overall look of a car. too many times ive seen clean beautiful cars get passed over for something that looked like a fishing lure on wheels.
