i live in hanover which is a few minutes from dallastown( like 25 minutes) theres not alot of ghettos in hanover haha or dallastown haha. york maybe i dont go into york too much anymore after the circuit died. good luck finding a house

Well right now there seem to be places in the Dallastown area.
I guess south side since I'll still be working in MD.
But I don't mind a cow or two, so if you guys are recommending further north or east somewhere then I'll have to look into it.

I am about 5 minutes from Red Lion / Dallastown. I graduated from Red Lion.
How I see it, Red Lion is more hillbilly / redneck. Check out the Happy Hour bar and Red Lion Tavern, hahaha. When I drive thru Dallastown, I see more yo-boys then anything else, but it isn't a bad spot to live.
The circuit is definitely not dead. We went out a little bit this past weekend and there were a good bit of cars driving around.

i moved to red lion about 6 months ago... not to bad but i definitly recommend springettsbury township more.... thats where i moved from.

Springettsbury is good... if you want to be a little closer to MD... (it's a little more pricey but you can find less pricey areas) check out Shrewsbury, New Freedom, Stewartstown, Glen Rock... and if you go on the outskirts of these places, you'll see lots of cows lol.
There's a lot of good areas in York County, I'd just stay out of the innercity personally. There's areas in the city that arn't bad... but if I could help it I'd rather not live there personally. The city has a lot more crime than the Suburbs or outerlying areas.

Spring Grove, Hanover is a really good place, no trouble around where I live
