paintball in Reading

Getting a group of friends together to hit up Splatterhill in Denver, Pa. on the weekend of the 23rd. Let me know if anyone's interested in coming along. I believe it's $20 if you bring your own paint and equipment which includes air. $35 if you rent everything and includes 4 hours of reball and 500 paintballs. This is a speedball only field! Fastpaced action! Bring your sneaks!

Hmmm... I'll have to see if I can make it. I have some friends in the area I'd like to see, so it would work out nicely. When do you need to know by?

According to Mapquest, Ryan, coming from Allentown it's about an hour and 8 min. From Jim Thorpe, it's about an hour and 33 min. If we all meet up here in Reading somewhere, we could carpool down to save some gas if it's more convenient for some. And thats a badass marker you have there, sir. If i had the money, that would be my weapon of choice.

Tinkles- A-5's are a pretty good gun too. My brother has one with a car stock, 14 CP barrel and a laser dot just to scare the @!#$ outta people and to make me jealous. But if you wanna still come, we have extra guns or like I said, you can rent one down there. maybe even an A-5. I think i only saw 98's though.

And James, if you can drive all the way down here from Mass to play (and see some friends) you will officially be the man. You can take Tinkles spot in my cool list. But seriously. You own a friggin' humvee??! Or just drive one for the Army? Used to be a motor vehicle operator in the Marine Corps so i dig that sort of thing. Just joined the Army National Guard so maybe our path's will cross some time. (Let's keep the "Marine joining the Army" thing on the DL...)

Thanks for the interest, doods!!

My 98 custom isn't without some work done for the record. In the video, it's my first practice fire and since has been tuned so i can emit single shot, burst and full auto just with the pressure exerted on the trigger. Otherwise completely stock... for now.

Pity the box.

Oh i forgot to mention, there's no "need to know by" time. I'm going no matter what. Just PM me for my cell # if you would like to keep in touch that way. Hope to see you all there!

I wish I owned a HUMVEE. I just drive them. I have one signed over to me, but unfortunately, I can't take it home at night

I'll give my buddies a call and see what they're up to this weekend. A 5 hour drive is short for me.

Awesome. Still rounding up all of my friends. We should probably all be there around 12 at the latest to make sure we can get all four hours in. Look forward to meeting you, James.

I'm upset I didn't get to make it down. I ended up having some family stuff going on, so I got caught up in that. I do come down that way every few months, I'll post up the next time I make a trip.

Next time James. My brother and two of my Marine buddies went. Not bad but would have been fun with more people. When we got home, we messed with my brother's A-5 a little. Added an M4 weaver handguard he had laying around. Put on a laser dot, a tactical flashlight, and a forward grip that also pops open into a bipod. And some pics of our other guns.

Don't think I would wanna play with that thing. It weighs as much as my M-16 with a mag of 30 loaded!

Well the barrel's not long or accurate enough to snipe with. We were mostly just going for the look of badassness. Now i think he's going to make it an assault role gun. Full auto and capable of hoppers of paint from the backfield. Thats what he does most of the time when we play. My 98 custom's actually the most accurate gun i've ever shot. But i have an empire 2 piece barrel matched perfectly to the paint I use. Here's an idea of what his Tippmann A-5 looked like stock:

And what you can do with one...

The epitome of badassness.

That right there is one of the reasons why i want an A-5.

Sweet. Will keep you updated on our next meet. However it will probably be down here towards Reading. And probably backyard woodsball since we're all kinda tired of expensive ass fields... Also pics of any mods you do to it are in order.

No pics, my camera is dead.

But i did just order a collapsible CAR stock and i plan on ordering a flatline barrel this week/weekend. I would also like to order a flashlight, laser, and forward grip. The forward grip is too close to the rear of the gun for my liking. Maybe a trigger that allows for full auto too(I'll see after i play a few games with it).

I prefer to play in the woods, but i'll probably going to have my ass handed to me by you guys.

i never understood the whole make your paintball gun look like a AR 15, G36k, etc... I went out and bought an AR 15 and an AK47 then i can shoot the real thing...
I shoot a Evil Minion with a board.

I will be down guys with going and playing. is it an indoor place? because outside might have 4 feet of snow on it...

Nice gun, Tinkles. How's that flatline shoot? Do you like it? Heard some good and bad about it. I think an M16/4 mag and a red dot sight and your set for looks. I've done a few mods to mine since last time we chatted so I'll have to post pics when I get time.
Good to hear someone else is interested in playing, Cone. What kinda bps do you shoot with a "board"? lol. Here's one of the top two arguments I always find myself in with paintball. AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION> The ability to shoot an insane amount of paint is just for show if you ask me. It only takes one ball to take someone out of the game. A good three round burst is all you need to make sure one lands on target. Anything else would be for playing backfield and providing suppression for the rest of your team in my opinion. In tournament play in which I don't have any interest in. Also, how could you not see any use for a military simulation marker?? One: They look friggin sweet. Two: They're intimidating as hell. Three: It's great for simulating actual battle. The weight is realistic, they feel somewhat realistic and even somewhat sound realistic:

Just my opinion. I know everyone's got there own style. Any pics of your gun would be great, man.
