I have a base model 2001 4-door sunfire with 14" wheels and I was thing of getting some of the 16" GT wheels. The only thing I am worried about is that larger wheels seem to accentuate the rather large wheel gap base sunfires have. Does anyone know if the wheel gap is the same between a base sunfire and a GT (because the GTs look alright with the 16s).
the wheel gap will be the same. you are keeping the same overall diameter of the wheels when you upgrade your rims (ie as the wheels get bigger, the tire size gets smaller). the bigger wheels give the effect of the gap being much bigger when its really not.
