So I finally got my strut tower braces today. There is no instructions with the rear, or bolts. I searched a little but I didn't really help.
No bolts needed for the rear. There are studs coming up where you mount it. Fold down the seats, get in the back and lay into your trunk so you can reach it easily. Extend the brackets until they are the right length to fit, remove the nuts from the studs, put the bar on, put the nuts back on and you're done. However you may want to put a couple washers or a spacer on the one stud so the bracket sits flat since one of the studs has kind of a seat on it that will not let you mount the bar flush to the tower. It can be tight to get them on but shouldn't take you too long. Good luck,
Adam

Alright I will go back out and see if I can get it on. The front one was ridiculously easy. I think it took longer to fine the right socket.
u WILL need to add about 2-3 washers to each side for the rear bar otherwise it wont sit right.. also u might need to get longer bolts.. i kno for mine i added 3 washers to each side but also had to get slightly longer bolts otherwise it wouldnt mount at all.. once u got all that it takes maybe 5-10 mins to install...

I actually haven't even taking it on any turns yet. I will probably go out tonight.
I don't have a vibrant front bar. I have the one that came stock on a 96 vert z24. And drilled the holes for the firewall also and stuck bolts there. This was on a 99 sunfire with stock suspension except for 16in. z24 wheels and factory 05 cavalier ls tires.
And i will be honest i noticed a big difference coming into to turns. And trust me the roads in eastern wv are nothing but turns. Just had to watch the back end as it was stock with no bar. But out of putting the bar on, then the z24 sway bar, kyb struts and pro springs. I think the bar made the biggest improvement.
Just my experience.
It helped. I noticed it right away. Hard to tell if the back one did it or if it was the front one that did.
I have both front and rear and love them
I am almost considering taking the back of to see how much it really does.
struts bars for our cars do help but not as much as they do on other cars as far as ive heard.. if ur really looking to upping the handling of ur J get a rear anti-sway bar it helps alot... i havent installed mine addco one yet but am happy with my F&R strut bars thus far...

I'm not to worried about a sway bar. I just wanted to take some of the body roll.
That's what the sway bars do. The strut braces just help maintain your upper suspension geometry by not letting the towers go out of alignment relative to eachother. You get more accurate and crisp turn in with the strut brace and faster return to centre coming out of the turn, but they don't reduce body roll since there's no attachment to the actual suspension (chasis flex vs body roll, they move with the suspension not against it). I love the progressive rear sway bar I put in, it removed a lot of body roll from the rear. If you like the improvements the strut braces made though, try putting in a ttr kbrace, that will box in your front suspension and make it feel much more accurate and solid.

Oh, I guess I was thinking the wrong thing. I would get a rear sway bar but no money for it now and I want to get a header sometime.
