Tokico D-Specs - I wish there was a way to adjust them electronically...

I am running on Tokico D-Specs. Love them. I just think it would be cool if there was an electronic component that would adjust the damping for me from my seat. You know, a way to go form full soft to full hard whenever i want without putting the hex key in and turning the nobs on the shocks and struts.

Here is a picture of the Subaru STI suspension adjuster:

Is there a product i can use for my application?

I just think it would be very trendy.

You like your D-Specs? Damn, I effing hate mine. It rides like @!#$ no matter what I have them set at. I'm tempted to go back to stock.

*edit* Sorry, didn't mean to go off topic. Just frustrated with mine. Electronic control would be pretty slick.

Well, the D-specs are designed to be a "sport" upgrade. Don't expect a Cadillac type of ride my friend. The D-specs really shine on taking curves.

So any info anybody knows about an electronic damping control?

no. only the Tein SS's have the EDFC.

You could possibly modify the tein edfc to work with the d-specs. All the edfc is is 4 stepper motors with a control unit. You could also try making ur own using stepper motors and making a controller.
By the time you got it to work for either one, you'd be out a lot of time and money and it wouldn't be worth it, imo.

what ur lookin at in the STI is called SI-Drive and it screws with the ECU to 3 factory performance settings. Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp. intelligent would be the gas saving mode, sport is well... sportier, and sport sharp is the most agressive setting. rite off the Subaru web site: Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE ) enables three distinctively different modes of vehicle performance characteristics by regulating the engine control unit (ECU) and by fine-tuning the electronically controlled throttle.
doesnt have anything to do with the suspension. the only other settings u can mess with from the drivers seat would be the center differential adjustment, which also doesnt do anything to suspension.

but yea what wizkid was sayin is pretty much it. lots of time and money.

Oh Ok Cool. I thought it was a suspension feature. oops.

However, the idea was to electronically control the damping of the shocks.

Thnks for the info

your right that has nothing to do with the suspension. he is looking for an edfc type of control

Seems to me a person with some perseverance could rig something together relatively cheaply with model servos and controls. The range of adjustment known (7.5 rotations), which would have to be matched or geared to the servo range. I wouldn't be the one to try it first though.

For the amount of money it would take, is it not worth your time to just get out and adjust it? lol
