If you were getting 1900 back in taxes and were going to dump it all into your car?

Im trying to figure out how I want to spend my tax refund. Im not going turbo, and Im not going to swap to an ecotec. I live for the 2200 ohv!!!!

I already have a full exhaust, intake and rims. I know for sure Im going to get some eibach springs and still deciding on the struts.

Help?

i like the way the cavalier looks stock and lowered. Im talking performance parts....

I was thinking POSSIBLY swapping to the ecotec engine...but still wouldn't go turbo.

Save up and go turbo or spend some of it and by HP tuners and some other goodies like a TMG LSD and better brakes.

well....i said i wasn't going to go turbo...obviously you can't read.

HP tuners may be a possiblity, but im not sure of anyone that can tune it here in ny, brakes is probably a go as well....never thought about the LSD.

SUPERCHARGED eco swap. its not "turbo"

personally i would turbo the 2200. but as for n/a performance your going to be disappointed.

well big hp numbers isnt what turns me on with cars. I like cars that have nice powerbands, and handle well and are generally fun to drive. If I wanted an all out drag racing, road ripping car, i probably wouldn't have gotten a j-body.

Supercharged eco...hmmm...that sounds nice

Would prolly surpass the budget of 1900 though.

unless you turbo or juice your 2200, performance mods will be very disappointing to say the least. honestly, bang for your buck, you would see much better results by swapping in a 2.4 or eco. dont like that? well thats your choice....but bolt ons for this engine are very minimal.

so you could always do some appearance mods. springs are a nice start. something like kyb's would be fine with eibachs, although konis would probably ride better. beyond that, at least upgrade to a stock z24 kit. the "smiley face" bumpers that the 95-99 2.2s had were horribly ugly and IMO looks terribly out of place with rims/lowered. after that, maybe a nice hood? simple two tone job (after the z kit, of course)

still got money after that...? try some interior mods. clean it up nice, black carpet, some nice seats (or katzkin covers) and itll look a little better.

coming back in 2008...

I say, do full suspension stuff if you want it to handle better. as been said many times in this thread, performance wise without boost is next to nothing. upgrade sway bars, strut bars anything and everything you can think of, even swap to rear discs.

I think I have my plan....

Reground cam (not sure on the specs yet) along with the Patriot performance stage II head, eibach springs, and a rear disc brake conversion.
