so i got an Autometer air fuel gauge, but i dont know how to install it? i know it comes with 3 wires, red (power), black (ground), and purple wich i dont know what to hook it up to. I know it attaches to my O2 sensor, but which wire? and is this wire accessablie in the engine bay?

the purple wire from the air/fuel gauge goes to the purple(im pretty sure) wire on the pre-cat o2 sensor. The o2 sensor that is on the manifold. I used a quick-splice connector and splice it to the vehicle side of the o2 harness.

Autometer doesn't give instructions for specific makes/models. It just says to use the O2 sensor wire.

And the 00+ cars have 2 wires for the O2 sensor, unlike the pre-00 cars.

Also make sure you connect it to the engine harness side of the plug, and not the sensor side. I don't remember the reason why, just know it messes up the reading on the sensor. I just like say it makes it a ton nicer later on if you have to change the O2 sensor, because then you won't have to break into the new wire.

ahhh, ok. i took a look at it quickly, and i think i saw 4 wires... i may have looked at the wrong wire harness since i just traced it visually from looking where the exhaust runs. it was the only wire running up soo i figured it must be the O2
