Need Help Quick (Fog Light Wiring and Relays)

Hey guys i need some help here. I installed a set of fog lights and they work great for like 3 days but then all the sudden they go out and i checked the inline fuse i wired from the power to the switch and it didn't blow the fuse but it actually melted the fuse holder in half . i know that isn't good don't worry. i have checked all of the wiring and soldered/heat shrinked everything and it still did it once again after 4 days this time. i was wondering if there is some kind of relay that i am not aware of that i should be wiring in and how do i do this. thanks in advance

Yes there should be a relay. What brand lights are they? You should be able to do a google search to find a diagram of how they should be wired.

If it's not popping the fuse then the fuse is either too big or the guage of the wiring is too small. I would beef up the wiring to at least 14ga.
