i just went out and bought a set of Memphis 6x9's, friend had them and they sound awesome so i got a pair since my JBL's were goin down the crapper
anyways, I put'em in (no amp yet), and they sounded awesome.. till today, on my way home from work the tweeters in them cut out ... atleast thats what i think it is.. everythings loud and clear then all of a sudden it just sounds deeper like a normal speaker, not as loud.. then later on in the day it sounded normal again, and then it did the same thing again off and on.. i checked the wiring, its all good.. i have no idea whats wrong,
i dont know tons about this stuff but im wondering if because i have an amp/subs, would the 6x9's be drawing not enough power from my deck? (clarion dxz845mc) causing the tweeters to cut out? my old speakers never did this.. they were 100watts, these new ones are 120 (60 rms)
or maybe i just got faulty speakers? i dunno, maybe if i cant find out here i'll go back the store i got'em at and talk to the guy
thanks
