Hi audio freaks!
Just found a brand new Pionner GM-62 amplifier in a store clearout. I paid it 10 bucks. It's a 18w x 2 channel amplifier.
My question is, what the hell is the point of this amp. I bought it cause it looked cool lol. It is freakin small. So why would somebody besides me buy a 18 wattx2 amp when cd decks are like 50 ou 60 watts x 4????? Why did Pioneer sell a ridiculous amp like this? lol Please take note that I will not replace my 1200w and 600w Alpine amps by this one!
Thanks

Maybe for the few HU that dont have internal amps. or maybe for a center channel.
BTW the headunits that say they put out that power that is the max ratings of the amp. They are most likely Putting out 10-16 watts rms

You could use it as a line driver....

for a well built system, thats enough power. now its not going to be a ground pounder, but it will be enough.
