For the remote wire I would just cut that female spade off, and then solder the two wires todgether. There is enough vibration in our cars to cause those two wires to come apart. Also, it would suck to have to take the entire dash off just to reconnect those two wires.
yeah either solder/shrink tube that connection, or get some crimp connectors.

Thanks Guys,
I think i will indeed solder the cable, when i remove the dash again to install a new glow gauge. thanks for the idea. I did wrap it a couple times though.
I finished installing the amp i will take more pics. but need ideas of how to mount the amp to the back seat in a way so it doesn't fall off.
best way to do it would be to get a piece of MDF the size of the amp, mount that to the seat with some self tapping sheetmetal screws(the seat is ribbed, so you want to try and get the screws on the ribs that will be against the board, not in the little valleys between the ribs) and then screw the amp to the MDF board with some self tapping screws that are short enough that they dont go into the seatback, just into the mdf.

dont mount to back of seat if u can just mount to box or a seperat amp holder they shouldnt rattle if it tightened down
