fiero's rock. If you are going to have a box built exactly to spec, go with the kicker. I'm still an MTX whore, so I would go with tthat, though

"Sup, G?"
"Aren't you white?"
"Only on the outside, craka."
That's going to be a really small enclosure. I have an 85 notchback and there's maybe room for a cubic foot or so in that area. I'd go kicker because it's the most shallow sub.
Beat it like it owes you money
try looking at some of the re subs they dont require a big box to run
k so im thinking about switching to the kicker. But i noticed it said its dual 4 ohm coils.. What does this mean? will it still work with my amp which is a RF p800.2

Per Channel Into A 2-Ohm Load: 480 watts x 2
Per Channel Into A 4-Ohm Load: 240 watts x 2
Continuous Power Rating (measured at 13.8V):
Bridged Into A 4-Ohm Load: 800 watts x 1

here is a relink to the kicker for the lazy ones.

Dual 4 ohm coils means it has (2) 4 ohm voice coils. So you can wire it in series and get an 8 ohm load or parallel and get a 2 ohm load. That amp doesn't appear to be 2 ohm mono stable from Crutchfield's spec sheet, so running that in bridged mode is outta the question I think.
If there is someway to wire that into a 4 ohm load, with that 2 channel amp I am not sure.
Ok so im getting the kicker L7. Only one not 2. Now how do i wire it? anyone got a diagram.?

Well if you are using that same amp you listed above and are getting dual 4 ohm coils then I don't think you'll be able to use it to it's full potential. With the dual 4's you can get a 2 or 8 ohm load, and that amp isn't 2 ohm mono stable. Might look into getting dual 2' ohm coils, shouldn't cost any different. Crutchfield has wiring diagrams of the "simpler" hookups.
Though if it's a stereo amp you
might be able to hook each coil up to the 2 channels separately but I am not sure if that's safe. Sndsgood should know
any other ideas?

bridged off the amp going directly neg from sub to amp and pos from sub to amp?

and hook
coil #2 neg to amp neg. and to coil # 1 pos
coil #2 to coil #1 neg.
Coil # 1 neg to amp pos
Does that make sense?

OK now i feel stupid lol.
i meant to say
coil #2 neg to amp neg.
coil #2 pos to coil #1 neg.
