thats not bad at all, how hard is it to turbo/supercharge one of these cars? is one harder than the other?

well the supercharger is from GM, means its pretay mild and considered very safe, it makes for some nice power gains but big power means turbo

Not hard at all to turbo charge.. We just have very limited parts thats available off the shelf per say.. Thats the only reason why it would be harder for us J's to turbo charge compared to imports. Im currently putting my custom turbo on my car.. GT3071R is what Ill be running.

Between me and my brother we have three boosted Js.................

2003 Pontiac Sunfire turbo (brothers) his own creation
2002 Chevrolet Cavalier turbo (mine yellow) my own creation
2002 Chevrolet Cavalier supercharged (mine red) GMPP kit with plenty of upgrades.

No numbers on any but all lots of fun. One of these days we will get em to the track and dyno, lol!

50 psi what. ok really that is alot of boost why not upgrade to gt42r and run less boost for more power. i am thinking that is a little extreme and yeah would also like to see numbers or video.

I have no idea where I'm at to be honest - lol... I'd love to know what my motor could do at 50 psi other than implode in on itself!!!

Seriously tho 50 psi through that turbo must be hell on earth... I wonder what your cyl temps are like!!!

At 8psi, 215hp/245ft.

I can't wait for my new setup, so I can post dynos before turbo/after turbo/after fuel system/after pistons/rings/rods/intake. It will definately be interesting.

How high has someone on here boosted the 16G hahn stage II kit?

nice dsm. basically the same stuff as my bro's,but he built a stroker motor. he likes that shep stage 3 tranny . good stuff.

what size injectors you running? what engine management you running?
we just put in some 950cc's and then winter came and use DSM link to control it all.

here is a link to a local dsm guy that has helped with my brothers car and gave him lots of information. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/466692

i used to be supercharged, nothing special. when it comes to working on/riding in my brothers car (or a car like yours) i wonder why i even bothered boosting a j body. there is too much n' rigging going on. you have to do way too much work to obtain anything over 200hp realiable. there are only/ not even about 5 cars boosted j body's out there worthy of respect, skilz cav being one of them.

I have to dissagree, plenty of people have installed the hahn kit and put down 200+WHP reliably, its no different than any other car

Who are the other 4? Because I personally know of AT LEAST 11 more people putting out 200WHP easily and reliably with varying motors.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

50 psi on a gt35 is WAY too much to ask of the compressor. However, there are plenty of 4G63 motors out there with that much power.
This weekend I'm swapping my motor from my 91 GSX to my 92 TSi AWD, so I'm pretty much backwards from what you have/had.
Compared to DSMs, we have next to nothing availible for our cars here.
