has anyone with the methanol injection noticed a funny smell when used. i just used mine for the first time and when i stopped the car it smelt very funny. just curious if thats normal or not
could be motor being used for the first time, could be the smell of the methanol itself.....unhook it from you intake and turn it on, see if its teh pump thais making the smell

i test run the pump yesterday running on the windshield to set boost switch and i used water and no smell so i assume its not the pump. im going to the track tomorow and and a lil nervous about that smell if its a good thing or not?the methanol in a can doesnt really have any smell to it.
i run meth EVERY day and no smell of any kind with mine......................................

methanol does not have an odor, even when its ignited
what kinda smell are we talkin about?
I wonder if what you were smelling was just a litle sulfer oder from the gasoline. This is normal from time to time and has nothing to do with the methonal injection.
