adjusting afr with Hahn stg II

I have the Innovate wideband hooked up with my Hahn stage II and am a little concerned about my afrs (I am kinda new to boost)

when I am part throttle and start boosting (for a few good seconds) ~ 3-4000 rpms and maybe 1/3-2/3 throttle and 2-5 psi my afr doesn't go down much, maybe to 13... at full throttle and boost in the over 4000 range I am seeing around 11.6-11.8 and I'm throwing a rich DTC (p0172 I think)

this ok? or anyway to adjust this? or should I not be boosting at part throttle?

When I had the fuel pressure gauge hooke up I was at 35 at idle and about 87-90 at full boost...I was getting about 11.1-11.2 at full boost and turned the valve out to get the 11.8

those are perfect afr's for boost Matt. I would suggest looking up someone with HPT for some adjustment to help that rich code. and afr's that rch may clog your cat be careful.

On a side note, how the hell have you been? We havent talked for years. PM me or AIM me to catch up

I've been alright...haven't done anything major to the car for the past 2 1/2 years, so haven't been on here much...tired of being slow

wasn't sure about the 13 while in lower boost...don't have the cat on yet ...I'll send you a message sometime soon. thanks, Phil

ok good keep the cat off lol.

if youre only partial throttle at low low boost you'll be fine. Just dont make a habit of it

Sounds good, I have mine leaned out to around 12.1 under boost and my boost fuel pressure is just a little lower than that. Your on the right track, just get HPT and disable the closed loop crap and get PE locked in quicker.

I've been running about the same fuel pressure with no problem. Just FYI I did notice if I'm in 5th gear under 50mph or lower for a period of time my cel came on for a P0172. As long as I keep it in 4th until about 50mph its been good. I don't have a wideband but I've been using a 2000'F pyrometer mounted 2inch behind the O2 sensor. My temps are 1200 - 1400 cruising and 1400-1475 w.o.t..

If you want, we could meet up to exchange some notes on getting these things tuned in properly. I also know the owner of PSI Motorsports, he now has HP Tuners !! and can dyno tune Ecotecs.

Hit me up if your interested. 610-703-3224 Brett

Brett, I'm definitely gonna hit you up when I have a chance...I'm pretty busy between school and work ...just want to keep it from blowing up 4 now

is that the only place in New Trip I heard of a RX7/rotary place that dyno tunes too? I definitely want to get this thing on the dyno as I don't have any other input into my Innovate and am not logging anything but afr's, plus I think I need to readjust my cam timing for now (but am afraid to cuz CNFX or NLS stripped one of my bolts) until I figure out what I'm going to do about my cams (?put stock ones back in or keep the sh!tty Patriot ones) and I want to know what kind of power I'm making

Brett (or anyone) I have an extra Innovate LM-1 if you're interested, brand new, sealed/unopened, with carrying case, and UPC intact - so full manufacturer warranty is valid (bought two by mistake on ebay and didn't realize it til too late to return it, gonna put it up on ebay soon if not . $349 new, will sell for less

Phil, I need to meet up with you and see your car, haven't seen it since it was at CNFX years ago, sounds like a beast now!

I may try to go to Maple Grove next Saturday for test& tune if anyone is going...

I know what place you are talking about. Its not them, he's originally out of Slatedale, and is now relocated out on RT100 a few miles from RT309. PSI Motorsports

Have you ever been to Island Dragway on a Friday night ? Its street legal test and tune, $25, you'll get atleast 6-10 runs. I'm going next friday Sept 21st, looks like todays going to be a wash-out!
