THIS WOULD BE COOL TO GET FOR THE SUNFIRE:

Hello Just Like to Say testing is almost Complete on the Production Kit of the Twin Screw Supercharger swap. We Spent Many Hours developing this swap and are near completion.

Results so Far are very Impressive.
The test Car is a 2006 Cobalt SS mods Include Injen intake and 60lb injectors, restrictive factory exhaust,we'll get more into in a second.

Test Conditions. tad bit humid and 80f roughly 85-90f in dyno room.
Car made a very Impressive 281whp and 263whtq On 20psi and 17 degrees of timing!
The kit with a full exhaust and the same boost with be over 300whp,when the 7krpm line is reached.

The Good news starting the run at 127F IAT temp rose to 147f that's only a 20f gain!
With the addtion of a cobra heat exchange iat's will be even lower.
Compared to the stock eaton at over 60f gain with the same Boost levels!
Timing was Very conservative at 17degrees there isn't a need for methanol and running 25+ degrees to make power.

Street manners on the Kit is Incredible. Responsive and just plain old FUN to drive.
Boost Comes Up hard and Fast at the touch of the throttle.
Sorry for Writing a novel Here, but we are very excited about results so far.
300whp is easily achieved with the addition of an exhaust.
Estimate Price of $3000-3500.00

you know, I made a thread suggesting that after examining the mani for the m62 kit and I got laughed at.

what size kb you using? I am assuming the 1.7. if so that one has been proven to over 400whp on 5.0 mustangs which means even after the kit is installed more power is still to be had

We are currenty offerring the Cobalt Community this package for $2999US for a limited time so we can pass the deal off to you guys aswell. Of course we will make sure the kit works on your vehicle first before any are shipped out.

We have seen this kit make 281WHP and 263WTQ at only 6000rpm and stock exhaust, so with a complete exhaust and a final tune you will easily see over 300WHP. That's over 350HP at the crank!!

Included in the kit:

1200AX Lysholm Twin Screw Supercharger
Billet AL and Chromoly shaft Snout
Dual Pass Intercooler plate
Supercharger Adapter Plate
Supercharger Inlet adapter
Billet Al bypass valve
Piping and Fittings
Stainless Steel Hardware

Additional Items:

60lb injectors and harness $265US
Tune File $250US
Intercooler Surge Tank $50US

MAYBE A LITTLE LATER DOWN THE ROAD i WILL GET THIS KIT.

I'm surprised. Not at the power and torque numbers, but at the fact that this is actually affordable for many.

yea rodimus prome has been raving about the whipple for over a year now

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

anyway this could be applied to the LD9 guys further down the road. This would be so much better than spending a ton of money on a M62 intake manifold, custom made for the LD9.

Would love to have a whipple on a Z24.

why not just get a turbo if you want to make alot of power?

That would be TAG Racecraft. They have been working on this since last year. When I first heard of this, I actually inquired about getting them done on the 2.4s.

not looking for a whole lot of power, just something manageble. I could have went turbo, but living in VA, being able to keep a relativly quiet exhaust with a supercharger is pleasing. I just want something that is reliable and fun, nothing wild.

The M45 would suit me, just dont want to worry about alcohol injection for it being to hot. With something like this I could make a reasonable 230 hp, still maintain traction, and have an exhaust that keeps the cops of my back.

300 whp with 20 psi? no thanks.

Re: TWIN SCREW SUPERCHARGER

Last I read about this charger it was a flop. They picked an s/c that was too small it's already being overspun in their tests. I'm willing to be the M62 can make more power than 280 whp.... actually I'm willing to prove it come spring.

I'd eventually be willing to spend a couple grand on an upgraded charger, however it better be able to make 400+whp for that kind of cost. Hopefully the Eaton TVS will be a more effective choice if it's ever released. I'm not trying to bash companies for developing products however maybe they should do some research before investing thousands into a kit like this.

Actually, last I had heard, TAG handed off the project to Rebel Autoworks/Autoworx/Autoworkz? Something like that.

As for XXX hp at YY psi? Who cares? You'll get the same differences in efficiency between different turbos too. This is for people who like superchargers but want more reliable power than an eaton can dish out. If you look at their testing data, the Whipple is showing IATs some 40-odd degrees cooler than the eaton at the same boost levels and making more hp. Clearly, its not all that "undersized". It won't make 400 whp, but it will be a gain over the Eaton. Is it worth the money? Is the kit a quality piece? I have no idea. But its not a bad idea as long as you know what you want out of your vehicle and you have realistic expectations. Believe it or not, some people don't want 400whp in a FWD street car.

$2700 for the GMPP SC + $3600 for that= No f'n way. When you can get the phatdaddy HAHN Stage 5 Kit w 20G for about $1k less. The only way I can see going the SC route is if you have an auto.

I didn't necc mean that towards you personally, but just in general. We have a local Cobalt SS owner with the M62 Dynoing 298whp. Why would someone pay $3700 more to be at about the same #'s?

Um, OR you can just buy the lower intake manifold and the few miscellaneous parts you need from a junkyard, instead of buying the whole GM kit first
