ok I have a superchargered sunfire (wife) and a turboed cavalier (mine). I am think on embarkening on combining it into my car. I have a fully built motor in mine and know it will support the power. I just curious has anybody done this? and if so what tips can you give me? like will the comp turbo cams be good with the supercharger?

Lol @ "chargered" ... ditch the "er", it's just "supercharged" and "twincharged."

Some Cobalt guys twincharged the LSJ. The tuning and selecting a properly sized turbocharger is the big thing.

A 20G w/ an M62
You DEFINITELY need a new turbo...and since Mitsu doesn't get any bigger, you also need a new manifold.

I thought there was another thread about twincharging and the problem would be if the M62 or M45(whiceever it was) could flow enough CFM to actually be efficent.

yea see thats why I am asking.

so I will need a bigger turbo for the set-up?

ANd I know some one did it with a cobalt and it put out good numbers. so it must have been the m45

I am.

I will attempt it with the 20g and the m62. should add for a fun ride. Oh and I will be using comp turbo cams instead of the blower cams.

A twin charged M62 setup might be worth it as it is hard enough for the ECO to reach the M62's full potential, but I still think the m45 twincharged setup is a waste (no offense Josh).

I am pondering this with the RSM vortec charger. Run it with a dual inlet intercooler. Like a parallel twin turbo set-up.

and what proof or numbers do you have that its a waist with the M45? other then every one saying it is, and you not knowing enough about the set up or how the supercharger works so you just go along with it? I know so far I have nothing but proof that it works and i will soon have the proof that it works well into the 300+whp range and the M45 has yet to be a bottle neck. Don't get me wrong the M62 is the better choice if you have the option, but the M45 and a T3/T04E turbo work very nicely together giving a much much fatter power band.
I am not saying you cant get close to this with some of the new turbos out there now.. But if you have the parts this is defiantly a fun little set up when you have no problem keeping up to AWD cars (STi's, GTRs ect.) off the line if not pulling away off the line from them, and at the same time being able to pull away from a roll with vehicles such as SVT stangs, vetts ect I defiantly do not regret it and i defiantly can not tell you any part of it that is a waste of time
