any one here using a big 16g turbo on a 2200, i have a t3 60trim but think it may make boost a little late so i can swap it for a 16g.

Im using a ported big 16g, with a 7 cm exhaust housing, and a 34 mm ported wastegate. It hits boost almost instantly. I also make the manifold for the 2200 with the dsm flange. Its 350 plus shipping.

The manifold is made out of 100% stainless steel. I make the exhaust flange, water jet cut out of 3/8 s/s, I buy the DSM flange and buy the sch 40 s/s pipe. Here are some pics, it also clears the oil dip stick, which is rare for the 2200 turbo manifolds. The two pictures of of my old manifold (ebay one) vs. my new manifold. DONT BUY THE EBAY ONE! I also make a rear tie bar for the j-body, and a front k-member for the automatic. Let me know if you would be interested in any of those?

Thanks

Yeah, I have the flange drawn up, but no-one is interested in buying one. They say they are to expensive @ $300-$400.

I'm assuming log since NO-ONE and i mean NO-ONE would source out a tubular SS header that cheap. It just doesn't happen.

Phil- that is one sexy bitch of a manifold. cudos good sir. Why don't you e-bay those?

once again, i have tried a while back and there was actually no interest for the price. im a mechanical designer, the reason it is expensive is because i pay a friend to weld it. tig welding is very tricky, but he does an amazing job. if i could weld it myself, it would be about 50-75 cheaper
