fiberglass dash

Im going to be fiberglassing my dash (the lower one) with guages into it, and i get the idea that you drill holes in it for strength. How exactly do you get the shape of the pods when glassing. Do you wrap fabric around the whole dash piece or just the area where you are puttin the guages into? IM just kind of confused whether or not u cover the whole dash piece in fabric or just the area where the guages will be thanks

where are you going to put gauges at in the lower dash? the lower dash is one huge piece and i cant think of anywhere where a gauge would look nice. unless your talking about the radio bezel. either way you use pvc tube to hold the gauge and then wrap the area in fabric, something that will absored the resin

ya. it really depends on where u mean. if u really mean lower dash and not the bezel, i dont know where u would put gauges.

you will want to get PVC tubing to fit your gauges. then cut out the bezel to fit those PVC pieces. line them up how you want them, and hot glue them in. dont overuse the glue. just enough to keep them in place. then wrap a piece of fabric over them and tuck the edges back with hot glue also. then get to glassing.

if you look hereyou can get a better idea of what i mean
